Mr. Welch became CFO of Surge Energy in August 2015 and previously served as the Controller since the company’s inception. He brings 30+ years of oil and gas experience to the organization. Prior to joining Surge, Mr. Welch was the Marketing & Treasury Director of Midstates Petroleum, where he worked from 2010 to 2015. Prior to Midstates, Mr. Welch spent 20 years in various domestic and international finance positions at ConocoPhillips, with roles across the value chain in Upstream, Downstream, Marketing, and Accounting.
