Mr. Alonzo joined Surge Energy in September 2017 as Subsurface Manager. He assumed duties as VP Development in July 2020 and was promoted to his current role as Senior Vice President, Development and Operations in March 2023. Prior to joining Surge, Mr. Alonzo had 33 years of domestic and international oil and gas experience with ConocoPhillips, Phillips, Atlantic Richfield, and the Minerals Management Service working various engineering and operations assignments. He provided technical leadership for significant field developments in Alaska, Canada, and the Lower 48, both onshore and offshore. Mr. Alonzo received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
